Q: How do I find out who the judge on my case is?

A: Contact the Clerk of Courts at 954-831-6565, provide your case number to the clerk, and they can look up your case information, including the name of your assigned judge.

Q: How do I contact a judge about my case?

A: Go to the homepage, and click on the Judges link. Choose which division your case is in to see a list of judges and their contact information.

Q: I want to attend my hearing by telephone, what should I do?

A: Contact the judge assigned to your case to see if he or she will allow it, and what procedures you should follow, if allowed.

A: You may not bring any weapons into the courthouse, including guns, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, corkscrews, scissors, toy guns, etc.

Q: My relative has a court date and does not speak English. How can I arrange for an interpreter?

A: Court Administration’s Court Interpreters program provides interpretation services to non-English speaking defendants, victims, witnesses, and family in the following case proceedings: first appearance, arraignments, pre and post trial motions, pre-trial conferences, trials, domestic violence injunction hearings, dependency and juvenile hearings, violation of probation, guardianship proceedings, Baker Act hearings, status conferences, calendar calls, psychological evaluations, and pre-trial intervention.

Sign Language interpreters are provided to deaf persons who are complainants, defendants, witnesses, jurors, or otherwise parties in all judicial proceedings.
