Judicial Information Systems is organized in accordance with the needs of the Court and Court Programs. Judicial Information Systems comprises three sections:

The Court Information Services section provides general/administrative operations support and case management information processing applications to the Judiciary, Circuit Court Administration, Case Management and Court Reporting Services. It utilizes PC LANs in a client/server environment, Windows Workstations, Windows Servers & AS/400 Native Applications.

This section is responsible for maintaining existing software application solutions, database/data warehouse management, developing new software solutions, client server systems administration and supporting Administrative, Operations Support and Judicial Management Reporting needs.

The Network Administrative Services section is responsible for the installation, implementation and maintenance of all data processing networks and appropriate computer hardware for the Circuit. This includes AS/400, Microsoft Windows Server, Ethernet LANs, Communications Gateways, Mainframe access, e-mail, Internet, Intranet, Public Wi-Fi, Firewall, Windows Workstations and the Trial Courts Network. In addition, the Judicial Information Systems Help Desk functions include vendor service calls and troubleshooting system outages.

The Customer Support Services section is responsible for professional and technical work in planning, developing and implementing training programs for software and hardware. These responsibilities include conducting training classes for all levels of personnel, maintaining training records, evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and techniques, and assessing new software for use in the 17th Judicial Circuit. This section is also responsible for the Judicial Information Systems Help Desk functions including troubleshooting, vendor service calls, and computer application support in conjunction with the training program.
