There is a public pay parking garage on the corner of Southeast 3rd Avenue and Southeast 6th Street, by the drawbridge. A variety of private pay lots are also available around the courthouse.

How do I find out who the judge on my case is?

Contact the Clerk of Courts at 954-831-6565, provide your case number to the clerk, and they can look up your case information, including the name of your assigned judge.

My relative has a court date and does not speak English. How can I arrange for an interpreter?

Court Administration’s Court Interpreters program provides interpretation services to non-English speaking defendants, victims, witnesses, and family in the following case proceedings: first appearance, arraignments, pre and post trial motions, pre-trial conferences, trials, domestic violence injunction hearings, dependency and juvenile hearings, violation of probation, guardianship proceedings, Baker Act hearings, status conferences, calendar calls, psychological evaluations, and pre-trial intervention.

Sign Language interpreters are provided to deaf persons who are complainants, defendants, witnesses, jurors, or otherwise parties in all judicial proceedings.

What items are prohibited from the courthouse? What should I leave at home/in my car?

You may not bring any weapons into the courthouse, including guns, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, corkscrews, scissors, toy guns, etc.

How should I dress for court?
