Judge Stefanie Moon hosted a moot court trial for some high school students last week in the central courthouse. The visit was facilitated by the Broward County Public Defender’s Office.
On June 20th, The 17th hosted another Suspended Driver License Clinic at the central courthouse with more than 150 customers utilizing services in a “one stop” environment. Over 100 cases were heard by the judiciary, and over 80 attendees were either issued a driver license/ID, reinstated a suspended one, or received guidance on how to do so. Thanks to the Clerk of Courts, Brenda D. Forman and her staff, Chief Judge Jack Tuter, Judge Robert F. Diaz, Judge Kenneth A. Gottlieb, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Revenue and all other stakeholders that helped to make this event a success!

The Florida Bar held their 2019 annual convention this year in Boca Raton, and the mid-week Judicial Luncheon featured all seven members of the Florida Supreme Court and guest speakers including Governor Ron DeSantis and Chief Justice Charles T. Canady.
