May is National Drug Court Month
Following the example of the Supreme Court of Florida and the Governor’s Office, the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit proclaims May as National Drug Court Month. We recognize and celebrate all the good that Drug Courts around the nation, including our own, bring to their communities.
Judge Evans Receives Naming Honor at NSU
The Black Law Student Association at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law has named their chapter after the Seventeenth Circuit’s own Judge Kal Evans!
In recognition of his continuing contributions to the program since his time as a student, the naming honor is much bigger than the physical presentation, according to Judge Evans. “Sometimes the biggest gift is the realization of the impact that you have made,” he says.

Judge Gottlieb Becomes President of the Justice Unit
On April 18, Chief Judge Tuter installed the Board of the Justice Unit, a Jewish Legal Bar Association. In addition to being installed as President, County Court Judge Kenneth Gottlieb was also presented a Proclamation from County Commissioner Michael Udine for his accomplishments.
