On Friday, February 11, Chief Judge Jack Tuter, State Attorney Harold Pryor and Public Defender Gordon Weekes delivered an overview of their agencies’ operations during the past year, noting the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic presented (and still presents) and the ways the courts adapted in order to keep the wheels of justice turning. Broward County Mayor Michael Udine presented Judge Tuter with a proclamation from the county commission and Broward County Bar Association President Jamie Finizio Bascombe presented “Friend of the Bar” awards to Circuit Judge Fabienne Fahnestock, County Judge Robert W. Lee, and Joshua D. Rydell, Vice Mayor of Coconut Creek.
