Broward College Visits the 17th Circuit

Students from the paralegal program at Broward College came to visit the 17th Circuit Courthouse on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

During their visit, the students learned about various roles at the 17th Circuit through speaking with Judicial Assistants Geavonna Lapmarado and Angela M. Salomon, General Counsel Patricia Judge-Lashley, and Judges Jose Izquierdo and Betsy Benson.

JA’s Attend Conference

Several Judicial Assistant’s from the 17th Judicial Circuit and the state of Florida attended an annual conference in Jacksonville, Florida from September 12 through September 15, 2023.


At the conference, JA’s had the opportunity to raise money for the Judicial Assistants Association of Florida, and spent time learning about best practices and procedures to take back to their circuits.
