Notice of Circuit Court Vacancies

The 17th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission has been asked to present Governor Ron
DeSantis with nominees for the vacancies that have been made in the Broward Circuit Court.
The Commission is requesting that qualified candidates submit an application for consideration.

Saint Bonaventure Catholic School visits the 17th Judicial Circuit

The 7th grade students of Saint Bonaventure Catholic School visited the 17th Judicial Circuit Courthouse last week for a series of tours.
Students had the opportunity to meet and speak with several judges including the Honorable Florence Taylor Barner, Honorable Catalina Avalos, Honorable Deborah Carpenter-Toye, Honorable Michael Orlando, Honorable William Haury, Honorable Lorena Mastrarrigo, Honorable Peter Holden, and Honorable Ari Porth and Honorable Robert Diaz.

Students also received a heartfelt message from State Attorney Harold Pryor who was gracious in visiting with the students on the tour.

Judge Keathan Frink Honored

The Honorable Keathan B. Frink was celebrated as Jurist of the Year on Tuesday, January 17 at the ABOTA Fort
Lauderdale’s 2023 Installation Luncheon and Awards Ceremony.

Congratulations to you, Judge Frink, on this honor and for continuing to serve the 17th Judicial Circuit with
exemplary leadership!

Celebrating the life of the Honorable Linda Alley

The Broward County Bar Association joined the 17th Judicial Circuit in hosting a Celebration of Life Ceremony for the recently departed Honorable Linda Alley on Thursday, January 12, 2023.

Chief Judge Jack Tuter hosted the event with kind words and shared memories from Judge Alley’s daughter Sarah Gresham and several friends and colleagues.
