Problem-Solving Courts Attend All Sites Conference

The 17 th Judicial Circuit’s Early Childhood Court (ECC) and Dependency Drug Court (DDC) attended the
All Sites Conference in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.


At the conference, the circuit was represented by Dependency Judges, child welfare Dependency Case
Managers from Child Net, Children Legal Services Attorney, and Parent Attorneys, Guardian ad Litem
staff, ECC Coordinator, Juvenile Problem-Solving Court Coordinator, and treatment providers.

Judge Africk-Olefson Keynote Speaker at Solomon Leadership Program

Judge Shari Africk-Olefson was the keynote speaker at the Solomon Leadership Program’s graduation on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Mental Health Task Force Meeting at the 17th Circuit

Judge Ari Abraham Porth led a Mental Health Task Force meeting on Monday, May 13, 2024.


Judge Porth held the meeting via zoom, while also having several community partners in the
courtroom. The meetings bring 17th Circuit staff and judges together with community partners
to discuss new programs and share ideas about care and treatment for mental health court
participants. The task force meetings are held monthly on the second Monday of each month.

Community Resource Fair at the 17th Circuit

The Problem-Solving Courts of the 17th Circuit held a Community Resource Fair at the main courthouse on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Several community organizations participated and shared valuable information with judicial and court staff.
