Judge Keathan Frink served as a volunteer at Junior Achievement Biztown last week where 5th graders from Embassy Creek Elementary School got experience running businesses, running a city and simulated an economy.

Last week, Judge Florence Barner swore in the City of Coral Springs’ first black commissioner, Joshua Simmons.

The Seventeenth Circuit congratulates Judge Raag Singhal for making the short list for the Governor’s consideration for an appointment to the Florida Supreme Court. Judge Singhal is one of 11 who have made the list of nominees sent to Tallahassee, as the Supreme Court must fill three seats left vacant by the up-coming retirements of Justices Lewis, Pariente, and Quince.

The Seventeenth Circuit wishes to congratulate the newest members its circuit and county court benches, chosen by both election and gubernatorial appointment.
