Celebrating the life of the Honorable Linda Alley

The Broward County Bar Association joined the 17th Judicial Circuit in hosting a Celebration of Life Ceremony for the recently departed Honorable Linda Alley on Thursday, January 12, 2023.

Chief Judge Jack Tuter hosted the event with kind words and shared memories from Judge Alley’s daughter Sarah Gresham and several friends and colleagues.

On behalf of the 17th Judicial Circuit, Rest in Paradise Judge Linda Alley. You will sincerely be missed.

17th Circuit attends Judicial College

Several 17th Circuit Judges and General Magistrates attend the Florida Judicial College program in Orlando, FL.
The Judicial College program is a comprehensive orientation including, but not limited to, several law courses, mock trials and a mentor program connecting new trial court judges with experienced judges through one-on-ones.

Civil Traffic Hearing Officers Sworn In at 17th Judicial Circuit Courthouse

The 17th Judicial Circuit held the swearing in of eleven new Civil Traffic Hearing Officers on Monday, December 12, 2022. Judge Robert Lee opened the event and welcomed the future Hearing Officers, followed by the swearing in by Chief Judge Jack Tuter. Judge John Fry closed the event with words of encouragement for the new Hearing Officers as they begin their journeys with the 17th Judicial Circuit.
