Last week, the Broward County Crime Commission honored Judge Mindy Brown and Judge Kal Evans with Superior Public Service Awards for their commitment and service to the community.

Judges Go Back to School
Judge Fahnestock and Judge Frink attended and completed the National Judicial College’s Faculty Development Workshop from August 19th to the 22nd, in Nevada. Founded in 1963, The National Judicial College is the nation’s leading provider of judicial education, and their mission is: Making the world a more just place by educating and inspiring its judiciary.

Seventeenth Circuit Courthouses Open Wednesday
The Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, and all Broward Courthouses, will be OPEN for regular business on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.
Courts Will Remain Closed Through TUESDAY, Sept. 3
The Seventeenth Circuit announces the closure of all Broward Courts on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
These decisions are difficult with the storm traveling at such a slow pace. However, with schools closing and non-essential buildings in Broward closing, we choose to er on the side of caution.
All court dates or deadlines missed will be handled by an order from the Chief Justice.
