Judge Raag Singhal and Judge Natasha DePrimo attended the Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Lunar New Year Celebration this past weekend. Over 150 people were in attendance to celebrate the Year of the Pig.

Last week, Judge Florence Taylor Barner hosted pre-law students from American Heritage high school in her courtroom. The students observed Judge Barner’s civil docket and had a Q&A session afterward.

Last Thursday, Judge Michael Davis swore in new attorney Dominick Canna into the Florida Bar.

Dozens of lawyers and judges volunteered to judge and be jurors for each trial round of the 2019  Florida Law Related Education Mock Trial Competition on February 8 , 2019, held in the Broward County central courthouse. Eleven schools competed this year and the winners were:

1st Place: American Heritage, 2nd Place: Fort Lauderdale High School, 3rd Place: Stoneman Douglas High School
