Judge Orlando Gives Visitors the Bench Treatment

A visiting group of young ladies from Atlantic Technical had the chance to see a courtroom from a judge’s perspective last week. When Judge Michael Orlando finished his morning juvenile delinquency docket, the students were invited up to the bench to don his robe and bang the gavel. The curious students asked him many questions which he happily answered.

In preparation of  “Black History Month: A Celebration of the Black legal Community, Broward’s Legal Firsts,” presented by the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit and the Broward County Bar Association on February 16, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m in the jury assembly room, 3320, many of the celebrated pioneers stopped by Court Administration to be interviewed on camera for the occasion.
