Walk This Way!

Sixteen Court Administration employees this week took a 15-minute walk together along the river as part of an health & wellness initiative to “get to know your neighbor” and promote mental and physical health. A recently formed Health and Wellness Committee came up with idea to encourage Court Administration employees to get out of their chairs and get moving. The riverwalk initiative dovetails with Court Administration’s step challenge, which is ongoing.

Learning Ways to Improve Public Trust

Our very own Trial Court Administrator Joe D’Amico and hundreds of other court administration personnel from across the country met in Atlantic City, NJ, last week for the mid-year conference of the National Association for Court Management (NACM). Discussion focused on the theme: “Taking Action on Public Trust and Confidence.” Joe is the co-editor Court Manager, a national publication that focuses on ethics and the courts, technology and the judiciary and court management issues. Kudos to our public servants for always trying to do better! Walk This Way! Court Administration Steps It Up

Twenty-one Court Administration employees from seven divisions kicked off the New Year’s Resolution Riverwalk with a brisk walk along the New River. A good time was had by all despite some clouds, spitting rain and temperatures that were a bit brisk. The walkers met in the downstairs lobby of the West Tower, then walked east along the New River for about 15 minutes to the East Parking Garage. Another walk will be planned soon, with a goal of establishing them weekly, so stayed tuned! Health is wealth. Join us!
